Perrette, 46, shared what had happened to her on Twitter. She Tweeted to her 667,000 followers about what took place, saying she was hesitant about Tweeting the news.
In the Tweet, Perrette said she had just purchased a new guest house and she was walking across the street to get to the house. She continued to say from out of nowhere a homeless man approached her, grabbed her forcefully and punched her in the nose and forehead, telling her he was going to kill her.
Apparently, the man eventually told Perrette to leave, and that’s exactly what she did. The actress said she collapsed, and another man walked by her but did nothing to help her.
Perrette then texted her friend, who lives next to her, and who is a cop. She drew a sketch of the man who attacked her, and her friend took a photo of the sketch.
The police confirmed to ABC that they received a call about the incident and they found the suspect. They arrested him and booked him in downtown Los Angeles.
Perrette finished her Tweet by saying the incident had left her shaken and traumatized. She said her life has changed and she needs some time to heal.
