Obama warns against equating refugee crisis, terrorism

-

President Barack Obama warned Monday that the United States must not slam the door to refugees out of a fear of terrorist attacks.

"The people who are fleeing Syria are the most harmed by terrorism, they are the most vulnerable," he told a news conference after a summit in Turkey. "It is very important that we do not close our hearts to the victims of such violence and somehow start equating the issue of refugees with the issue of terrorism."
