As the service writes, “…a Nor’easter-type of snowfall event could develop in the Wednesday through Thursday time frame next week.” The ugly weather could begin showing up Tuesday, when Americans go to the polls to vote for their next President.
The report goes on to explain: “…it looks as though coastal impacts would be farther north along the New England coast than we saw with Sandy. Snowfall would be confined to northern New England.”
This nor’easter will be nowhere as destructive as Hurricane Sandy, the National Weather Service points out. Sandy has been blamed for more than 80 deaths in the United States, including 38 in New York City. The damage costs are estimated to be around $50 billion.
