KOB reports Milan police officer James Watters, 25, and 28-year-old Jesse Terrazas forced are behind bars and facing rape charges for allegedly forcing themselves upon the young woman.

According to New Mexico State Police investigators, Watters, Terrazas and a third man, identified by KOAT as Sgt. Jessie Nieto of the Grants Police Department, picked their victim up in Watters’ car and drove to Grants High School, where they all drank together.

The woman told investigators that the three men “continuously asked her to perform oral sex” after they claimed to have received sexual text messages from her.

Sgt. Nieto asked to be taken home after the woman mentioned rape. Watters dropped him off, allegedly taking alcohol from his home before driving his two remaining passengers to the New Mexico State University satellite campus in Grants.

Court officials told KRQE Watters’ bond has been set at $100,000. Terrazas is being held on a $50,000 bond. Sgt. Nieto has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation.
