Mother who wanted ghost photos of dead child charged with murder

The photographer, Sunny Jo, provides the service to those who want to memorialize their deceased loved ones.

Last week, Sunny learnt the mother and her boyfriend, Zachary Earl Keefer, were arrested on first-degree murder and felony child abuse charges. Ditty, 23, and Keefer, 32, are accused of causing serious bodily injury to Macy late last year.

Macy died in December, 2015, and since then the incident has been investigated. While the investigation was going on, Ditty contacted Sunny to take photos.

Sunny said he feels regretful being tied to this situation, which he described as vile and evil. He said Ditty seemed like she was a grieving mother.

The photos that were taken showed Ditty in a cemetery with a faded image of Macy next to her. Sunny said he was moved by Ditty’s story, so he decided not to charge her for the photos.

Sunny added that said Ditty used him and she may have used this to make her appear innocent. He said that was the worst feeling in the world.

Macy’s biological father was stationed overseas at the time of the incident, but he has since returned home. Ditty was also an active duty soldier at Fort Bragg.
