Man uses his wanted photo as Facebook profile picture

Police in the city of Stuart used a photo of Mack Yearwood to create a wanted poster of him. He was wanted for being a suspect in a reported disturbance last week.

Police used the photo because they needed help finding him, but eventually an officer came across a Facebook page. The page featured a profile pic of Yearwood, who seemed to be proud of his wanted status.

Yearwood was eventually located and he was arrested on two outstanding warrants. However, he is now facing additional charges of possession of cannabis under 20 grams. This is because marijuana fell out of his pocket as he was getting dressed right before he was arrested.

To Yearwood’s credit, he waited a few months before using his poster as his profile picture. His mugshot was posted online back in October because he was charged with violating probation in a battery case.

One relative did notice Yearwood using the mugshot photo. They left a comment on his page and said they wished Yearwood would remove the photo. They added that police do use Facebook these days.

Police are still investigating the battery complaint.
