Lingerie ad featuring Photoshopped genitalia wins awards

Jane Pain, a high-end Spanish brand of lingerie, bathing suits, and accessories, is attracting attention this week for a recent ad campaign of sexual (but safe-for-work) photography.

The photos show models with their legs splayed open, and the image is sliced up so viewers don’t see any genitalia.

“What you can’t see is all you want to see,” reads the copy on the ads.

It’s been reported the campaign won the 2012 Lapiz de Oro, Argentina’s highest advertising prize, and the Gran Prix de Bronce Clarín.

The images were photographed by Natasha Ygel.

Some bloggers have compared the eye-grabbing ads to the paintings of David Salle, where body parts aren’t shown fully.

Are these photos tasteless or impacting?
