Dr. Gary Armstrong rented out his parents’ property in Gainsborough, in November if last year. He also had a ban on keeping pets.
However, he went to check the house out last month, and that’s when he found the house in what he described as a shocking state, as well as a massive black pig in the living room.
The doctor believes that the pig has been living there for months, but has been kept in hiding when he made a previous visit to the property.
Armstrong said that during one visit, the pig was being kept in a room that he was not allowed in. He also said that the state of the home, as well as the garden, was not consistent with a dog.
According to Armstrong, an estimate of around $10,500 was needed to cover the damage the pig caused to the property.
Some of the things that needed to be done was re-turfing the garden, patio repairs and cleaning. He also said that new carpets were put in right before the house was to be rented, and the carpets cost more than $1,000 and they were completely ruined.
Armstrong added that the house stunk and the walls were filthy. He said that a pig living in a house equals a lot of dirt.
