US Secretary of State John Kerry will meet Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas in London on Thursday, a top US official said, adding the "door remains open" for peace talks.
State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki confirmed Monday that the top US diplomat would meet Abbas for the first time since peace negotiations with Israel collapsed last month. "While the door remains open to a peace process, the purpose of the meeting is to discuss our ongoing relationship with the Palestinians," she added.
