Fungi of Minnekhada Park in Port Coquitlam (Includes interview and first-hand account)

This specific ecosystem is stuffed with moisture lingering in the air no matter what kind of weather is around. It’s not only a small lake within the boundary of the park that contributes moisture but there’s always something specifically “wet” in the park.

After entering the park’s hiking routes, one can see great deal of trees are dying, covered with moss, fungi and everything else that doesn’t make the trees look healthy at all. They are of different shapes, colours and sizes, some of them are really pretty.

They are definitely great samples to look at by the ecology experts who can draw conclusion of what to do next or searching for clues of how degradation of the environment progresses.
