Florida man live-streams his month sleeping, eating with lions

James Jablon, from Spring Hill, Florida, is doing something nightmares are made of: sleeping and eating with two lions at his wildlife center. He plans to eat and sleep with the two African lions until Jan. 31.

The caged enclosure is 12 feet high and roughly 3,000 sq ft.

According to the Daily Mail, Jablon46, says: “‘I may have to construct a bed in one of the trees, just out of their reach or come up with another idea, depending on what they make of me being there. After all, lions generally sleep for 18-20 hours a day so I’m going to be getting a lot of rest.”

He also says he ‘ll hide in the trees in the enclosure if the lions decide to fight each other.

The ordeal will be live-streamed 24/7 on Ustream.tv, via a dedicated page on the center’s website.

His adventure with the lions’ den is part of a “fundraising drive to raise money for Wildlife Rehabilitation of Hernando, the animal refuge where he cares for injured or orphaned animals in the hope of giving them the chance to be returned to the wild,” the Daily Mail states.

Since Jan. 1 and the time of this article, the live-stream page has attracted more than 24,300 visitors.
