FBI releases photos, video of Boston bombings suspects

“Somebody out there knows these individuals,” said Richard DesLauriers, special agent in charge of the Boston FBI office. He said the two men are considered “armed and dangerous.”

The press conference was live-streamed at 5 p.m. ET Thursday.

The photos are blurry but you can somewhat make out the features of the two suspects, one wearing a white cap. The images show the individuals in various positions, such as watching the run or walking among the crowd.

One of the men was seen putting down a black backpack at the site of the second blast in Monday’s attack. Both were seen walking together through the crowd.

Video footage of the men walking through the Boston Marathon throng was also released by the FBI (embedded above).

The FBI was also canvassing hobby stores in the Boston area to determine whether electrical components in the bombs were bought there, NBC News learned.

Also, NBC notes as of Thursday morning, 58 patients were still being treated in hospitals. That was down from 65 on Wednesday. “In general, people are getting better, and we are happy with their progress,” Dr. Peter Burke, chief of trauma at Boston Medical Center, told reporters early Thursday.
