Fake doctor busted for prescribing dirt as cancer treatment

Gammill is being accused of practicing medicine without having a license, and one of his cancer-fighting drugs was just a bag of dirt.

A woman who has cancer tipped police off about Gammill. She sought treatment via Gammill through his website, and she paid $2,000 for what she thought was treatment, which involved homemade powders and drugs passed their expiration date.

The woman was also given a bag of dirt. The “doctor” told her how she should mix the compounds. The woman said that he told her that if her stomach felt as if it was burning, then that was a good thing because it was a sign that it was working.

When authorities searched Gammill’s office and home, they found bottles that were labeled as poison and corrosive. On top of that, they found steroids, morphine, ambien and more than 20,000 other pills.

The woman has been suffering from breast cancer for a number of years and was seeking an alternative form of treatment. She said she was upset because he was preying on cancer victims who are desperate to live. She continued to say that she thought Gammill had an answer to her problems.

Gammill will be appearing in Ventura County Superior Court at the end of August.
