FacePalm Friday: Man pees on fellow plane passenger

This is my weekly column FacePalm Friday, where I take a look at offbeat news. You can go and read last week’s column here.

On Monday, an Air Méditerranée flight from North Africa was forced to touch down in Lyon after the pilot learned of a “big brawl” amongst passengers.

The flight took off from North Africa, but it was forced down in Lyon after the pilot learnt there was a brawl among passengers.

The flight was halfway in its journey when the man became belligerent because he wasn’t allowed to drink alcohol or smoke on board. After that, he allegedly urinated on another person, and that lead to a fight.

Flight attendants intervened and pinned the unnamed passenger down. A photo of the man popped up on Twitter, and it showed him shirtless and being held down.

Once the plane landed, the man was escorted off the flight by police. The second man involved in the fight was also removed from the flight. Once things settled, the plan took off and continued to Paris.

The airline has yet to comment on the incident.

As odd as this may be, it’s not unheard of. Last year a 27-year-old was detained and arrested in Oregon because he urinated on passengers on a JetBlue flight.

The man was sound asleep for most of the flight, but then he woke up and started to urinate on the seats on front of him. He lost his balance and urinated on other passengers.
