FacePalm Friday: Business was giving meth as a bonus for workers

This is my weekly column FacePalm Friday, where I take a look at offbeat news. You can go and read the most recent column here.

The owner of Clear Choice Auto Body Repair, Jesse Michael Seifert, 40, was arrested after one of his employees said that he and his girlfriend, 39-year-old Nancy Jean Loehlein, had been paying staff in methamphetamine.

Police say that employees at the repair shop each received half a gram of meth during a meeting last Tuesday. Agents have been monitoring the business for months, and on Wednesday morning they made their move and raided the business.

Authorities say that during the raid, they found used syringes that tested positive for the presence of meth. A digital scale, which contained meth residue, was also found.

Before the raid happened, Seifert was arrested on a gross misdemeanor driving after cancellation. He was taken to Blue Earth County Jail, which is where he is still being held. The case involving the meth is still be investigated and more charges are pending.

One reviewer left a comment on Facebook, which said that at least now customers know why the work was done fast and why extra attention was paid.
