Russian aid convoy to Ukraine ‘won’t have military escort’: Kremlin

Russia's military will not be involved in an aid convoy to eastern Ukraine that will take place with Kiev's agreement, President Vladimir Putin's spokesman said Monday.

"There won't be a military escort," spokesman Dmitry Peskov told AFP of the convoy Russia plans to send to Ukraine. He said the mission has been "agreed with Kiev" and will be supervised by the International Committee for the Red Cross.
