Cavani back in PSG line-up as Blanc rotates

-

Edinson Cavani made his first start for Paris Saint-Germain in more than a month after injury as the French champions entertained Bayer Leverkusen in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Wednesday.

With PSG leading 4-0 from the first leg in Germany, coach Laurent Blanc chose to rotate his squad, with Yohan Cabaye making only his second start for the club since his January arrival from Newcastle United.

Christophe Jallet replaced the injured Gregory Van der Wiel at right-back while there were also starts for Marquinhos, Lucas Digne, Javier Pastore and Adrien Rabiot.

Thiago Motta and Alex were among those left on the home bench but Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has scored 10 times in this season's Champions League, did start.

As expected, visiting coach Sami Hyypia left leading scorer Stefan Kiessling on the bench as Eren Derdiyok led the Leverkusen line.

The Bundesliga club, who have lost five and drawn one of their last six matches in all competitions, are missing centre-back Emir Spahic through suspension following his red card in the first leg.

Starting line-ups for the Champions League last 16, second-leg match between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayer Leverkusen at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday:

Paris Saint-Germain (4-3-3)

Salvatore Sirigu; Christophe Jallet, Marquinhos, Thiago Silva (capt), Lucas Digne; Javier Pastore, Yohan Cabaye, Adrien Rabiot; Edinson Cavani, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ezequiel Lavezzi

Bayer Leverkusen (4-3-3)

Bernd Leno; Giulio Donati, Philipp Wollscheid, Omer Toprak, Andres Guardado; Simon Rolfes (capt), Stefan Reinartz, Emre Can; Sidney Sam, Eren Derdiyok, Gonzalo Castro
