Burkina’s military leader wants transition ‘within two weeks’

Burkina Faso's new military leader said he wanted to return the country to civilian rule "within two weeks", a union leader who met him Tuesday said.

"If everyone agrees, there is not reason that the transition (from military rule) shouldn't be done within two weeks," Lieutenant Colonel Isaac Zida said, according to union leader Joseph Tiendrebeogo.
