Brazil president confirms G20 trip

-

Brazil's scandal-hit President Michel Temer reversed a plan to skip this week's G20 summit and will make the journey to Germany for Friday's gathering after all, his office said Monday.

"The president's trip to the G20 is confirmed," a source in the presidency told AFP.

Temer had earlier canceled his journey to the meeting of 20 leading world economic powers in Hamburg on Friday and Saturday.

That move came shortly after prosecutors brought corruption charges against him in a case that could yet sweep him from power.
