Bayern secure German title in record time

Record-breaking Bayern Munich were confirmed German champions on Tuesday with a 3-1 win at Hertha Berlin as Pep Guardiola's side secured the title with seven games to spare.

Goals by Toni Kroos, Mario Goetze and Franck Ribery sealed the win which left them an unassailable 25 points clear and gave them their 24th German league title.

Coach Guardiola, who won 14 titles in four years at Barcelona, claimed his third title in nine months since taking charge of the defending European champions.
