Air Canada flight diverted because of unusual odor

Peter Fitzpatrick, a spokesman for the airline, said that flight AC825 was diverted because an unusual odor was detected in the galley.

A spokesperson from Belfast International Airport said that it was possible that the pilot sensed something wrong in the galley or even with the controls. The spokesperson added that there was no immediate sign of a problem when the plane landed.

The plane was carrying just over 200 passengers, but it did land safely. However, the source of the odor has not been found.

As of now, it isn’t clear when the plane will be taking off for Toronto.

This is the second time an Air Canada flight had to make an unexpected landing. On Friday, an Air Canada flight left St. John’s, N.L. and was on its way to Toronto, but had to circle back and land at St. John’s International Airport. This was because of a mechanical emergency that occurred shortly after the plane took off.

The plane safely landed at St. John’s and no injuries were reported, nor did anyone need medical treatment. There were around 90 passengers and crew on the plane.
