The rise of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology has yielded unprecedented benefits for a wide range of industries, one of the biggest industries is the world of art. Blockchain technology has given rise to NFT’s, an acronym for non-fungible tokens. “Non-fungible” means that it’s unique and can’t be replaced or duplicated with another. An NFT can be anything digital, from music to art. There is currently a lot of excitement building around using such technological advances to sell digital art. Digital art lets an artist add numerous elements to their piece, something that could not otherwise have been done outside the digital world. It gives artists another form of self-expression, as well as another great channel to connect with their audience.
Zevi G is a rising artist who believes that integrating the digital space into his portfolio will spark new conversations, stir emotions, as well as open the door for a new demographic of art enthusiasts.
Through NFT’s, artists are also able to create art with digital elements that may not be possible in the real world, they can add movement to their pieces, changing colors, sounds, and other exciting components that come with the digital world.
“The digital medium of the artwork allows artists to create art with digital elements that are not possible in traditional painting and sculpting. Now the artwork can take the story telling and narrative to the next level by adding movement, changes in color, animations, sound effects, etc. All such elements help in adding to the appreciation and engagement of the artwork.”
Zevi was always fond of art in the digital space, he has an affinity for creating short NFT clips, as well as using his sculptures for inspiration for his augmented reality creations. He has always invested his time and effort into creating art digitally, now he is seeing the fruits of his labor being rewarded as the NFT industry is a legitimate space for art, a space that the artist believes will inevitably hit mainstream society.

The first NFT Zevi created is called “Relaxation”. It features one of his characters doing a yoga pose in a rainforest, with sounds of tranquility permeating the rainforest. The artist also added elements of flashing, and gave his character a bronze complexion. The patina on the bronze creates the aging look, signifying the extended amount of time the character has been in the rainforest. Zevi created the original character from the NFT in 2017, making a 7 X 7-inch prototype that he used as a reference for the larger piece. He found that NFT’s provide him with a new window to share his message without having to wait, and that he was able to convey his message in a much quicker manner.
The second NFT the artist plans to release is called “The Messenger”. This NFT is a heart truck that has been converted from an ice cream truck, it is shown moving through its neighborhood distributing hearts, relaying a sound effect that is saying, “Welcome to the neighborhood”. This truck is shown rolling down the street, while a red carpet rolls out with hearts coming out- this displays the stunning colors and motion effects that bring the NFT to life, creating a yet another outlet to spread a certain message. Zevi believes that these added elements made possible through the use of NFT’s let him reach a new demographic, mainly Generation Z.
Zevi believes that the digital space will create many innovations for artists that will be popular with their fans, NFT’s are just one component of the rising digital space. He believes that there is still nothing that can rival art in the real world, and still plans to create numerous pieces in the real world. Every character created by Zevi that he uses in his NFT’s was previously created for the real world, and can be converted in an augmented reality file. Also, every NFT will have an augmented reality sculpture.
“With each NFT I will be making AR files of the 3D characters. I do plan on having an AR gallery on my site one day, and will continue to work with virtual reality”.
Zevi believes that the digital space will be very popular in the foreseeable future, he plans to focus predominantly on the digital space with his creation of AR and VR files, putting AR into the VR world. He believes that NFT’s are just another aspect of the digital space, and that the digital space caters to an entirely new generation. He will continue to do art in the real world, as he believes that there is nothing like experiencing the awe of a 20-foot sculpture. Look out for the first NFT to drop this coming June, at 4:56 on a Sunday. All of Zevi’s drops happen at 4:56, a symbolic reflection of his imaginary 456 Land that has foundational principles of spreading joy, happiness, and positivity.
