Vine gets updated on Windows Phone to be more like iOS, Android

The new features include the ability to import videos from your phone’s camera roll. An icon on the capture screen enables you to upload an existing video rather than shooting something new.
Draft captures can now be saved for revisiting later on and you can edit your Vine by rearranging clips and deleting unwanted ones. The features have been available on Android and iOS for some time but the jump to Windows Phone will please Microsoft patriots.
Vine itself has been growing recently as more people flock to the video-sharing platform. Over 100 million people watch Vine videos each month and 1.5 billion Vine loops are played each day. This equates to more than half a trillion loops in a year. Dedicated services have even been setup online to let you explore the best Vines.
The Windows Phone update has also brought a few other features across from iOS and Android. Support for private Vine messages between friends is finally here alongside the ability to see how many times people have watched a Vine with loop counts.

More minor changes include a redesigned activity feed and the ability to customize your profile colour. The update is available now if you own a Windows Phone.
While not curing the app gap, updates like this show that developers are still working hard to make apps for the platform. With service like Instagram not updated for over a year, Microsoft will still have to work hard with Windows 10 to entice app creators back though and indeed this will be one of the most important areas for the company to work on ahead of launch this summer.
