Video: Watch 60 Minutes special on Steve Jobs’ biographer

The two-part interview looked at the new book on Jobs, available today and written by Isaacson, who has also written on Albert Einstein and Benjamin Franklin.

Some of the highlights from the program include revelations of the late Apple co-founder taking a seven-month leave from Atari to travel through India. He dabbled with Zen Buddhism that “really informed his design sense,” says Isaacson.

The interview also says Jobs actually met his biological father, who once ran a restaurant in Silicon Valley. But Jobs said he never told to his father who he was.
