Workona is a chrome-based web application that helps web workers manage their tabs by dividing different pages into “workspaces” that are created by the user.
For example, a freelancer working on three different projects can create a workspace that corresponds with each project and divide their tabs according to which project they’re open for.

The product installs as an extension on the Google Chrome browser and allows users to switch back and forth between their saved workspaces.
Workona was founded in 2017 by Quinn Morgan (CEO) and Alma Madsen. K9 Ventures led the initial financing round in December 2017.
“Most of us love cloud software, but working in the browser can be cluttered and cumbersome. The proliferation of cloud software like Google Docs and Salesforce mean modern work is primarily done in the browser,” wrote Morgan in a Medium blog post. “Rather than building yet another browser, Workona transforms your existing browser into a professional work tool that’s far more capable of managing the heavy workloads we’re all doing in it.”
In the post, Morgan said that for now Workona only supports Google Chrome, but more browsers are on the way.
