Sy Montgomery’s The Octopus Scientists: 2015’s Best science book

The Octopus Scientists: Exploring the Mind of a Mollusk garnered a favorable review from Digital Journal and rightfully so, among countless other critics.

Her book is comprised of top-notch and vivid photographs from award-winning underwater photographer Keith Ellenbogen, which elevate it to a higher level and make it more appealing for the younger reading audience. It is extremely well-written, coupled with a neat syntax and sophisticated science vocabulary words that will make even the most verbose reader, happily head towards the dictionary. She is able to get her readers energized about octopuses and give them a great appreciation for these mollusks.

If anybody needs answers to such questions as “How smart is an octopus?” or “How can one make friends with an octopus?” or “How do octopuses change colors?” all they need to do is grab a hard copy of Sy Montgomery’s book, which is available on Amazon or Barnes and Noble.

Montgomery’s book is recommended for the entire family, ranging from upper elementary students, to middle and high school students, to parents that can read this book for their kids as a bedtime text. Other than that, no other nonfiction, scientific book comes close this year. The Octopus Scientists: Exploring the Mind of a Mollusk reigns supreme.
