Sy Montgomery honored as 2015 ‘National Book Award’ finalist

Ta-Nehisi Coates won the coveted 2015 National Book Award for nonfiction for Between the World and Me.

Aside from Montgomery and Coates’ literary works, other noteworthy nonfiction books that were honored included Sally Mann’s Hold Still, Tracy K. Smith’s Ordinary Light and Carla Power’s If the Oceans Were Ink: An Unlikely Friendship and a Journey to the Heart of the Quran.

Montgomery’s The Octopus Scientists book garnered a rave review from Digital Journal, and rightfully so.
