Sony’s New Spiral Design Streetstyle Headphones

PARK RIDGE, N.J. – First there were comfort fit jeans. Then comfort fit shoes. And now, comfort fit headphones.

Sony Electronics today announced StreetStyle behind-the-neck headphones (MDR-G73LP) with a new spiral design for portable music lovers who want headphones that look great and feel even better.

Featuring a thin, flexible neckband that molds to the curves around the back of the neck and fits comfortably over the ears, these new headphones are lighter than traditional headphones yet offer a long-lasting, stable fit. They include 30mm drivers and a neodymium magnet to deliver maximum sound quality with clear treble, powerful bass, low distortion and dynamic range.

“For many people, headphones are not only about listening to great sounding music, but also about making a bold fashion statement at the same time,” said Jeanine Mulcahy, marketing manager for general audio accessories in the personal and mobile products division at Sony Electronics. “Our new StreetStyle headphones provide superb sound quality, while offering a more comfortable fit due to their spiral design that accommodates hats and hairstyles.”

Available in metallic blue, Sony’s new StreetStyle headphones feature a coiled neckband for easy storage in pockets or handbags. The headphones include a 4.9-foot cord in the same striking metallic blue as the phones themselves. They will be available in July.
