a)- SONY ELECTRONICS DCR-PC5
Sony is taking quality digital video to new extremes in portability with
today’s introduction of its smallest Mini DV Digital Handycam camcorder.
This new camcorder offers digital still image capability, using Sony’s
Memory Stick digital media, Carl Zeiss optics and a 2.5″ SwivelScreen LCD
Monitor with Touchscreen controls. The DCR-PC5 will be available from Sony
Electronics in June for about $1,499.
b) – SONY ELECTRONICS MAVICA MVC-CD1000
Sony Electronics today announced the first ever CD Recordable (CD-R) based
digital still camera, the Mavica MVC-CD1000. The new Mavica camera uses a
high-capacity 156MB 3 1/2-inch CD-R in an easy-to-use camera for Americans
who use the 260 million CD or CD-R drives with their PCs, and even those who
don’t. The Mavica MVC-CD1000 ships with five one-time write able CD-R’s and
will be available in August for about $1,300.
c) – SONY ELECTRONICS MZ-R7OPC MD WALKMAN
Sony introduces another MiniDisc PC product bundle. The new MZ-R70PC bundle
allows consumers to record a combination of Internet music, tracks from
personal CD collections and favorite songs off the radio. The MZ-R70PC MD
Walkman product PC bundle will be available later this summer in silver or
blue and is expected to sell for about $250.
d) – SONY ELECTRONICS N50 XGA LCD
On the heels of its award-winning Multiscan N50 XGA LCD display, Sony
today announced the Multiscan N50PS, the next model in its LCD computer
monitor series. This latest addition incorporates several new style changes
and also includes many of the same technologies that originally set apart
its predecessor from other manufacturers’ LCD monitors. Sony’s SDM-N50PS LCD
computer display will be available in mid-July 2000 for an estimated selling
price of $1,499.99.
