PC Expo Embraces Linux

NEW YORK -(DJC) – To further enhance the growth of Linux in the business
computing marketplace, PC EXPO , the IT Event For Business, will feature two
exciting opportunities for attendees – the LinuxMall.com Summit and the
Linux Pavilion, sponsored by Linux Journal. More than 85,000 corporate
technology decision makers and IT professionals from around the world will
gather at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, June 27-29, 2000 (summits
begin on June 26), to see the latest corporate computing products and
services.

“Linux offers revolutionary technological advances that impact business
computing today,” said Christina Condos, PC EXPO show director. “The
LinuxMall.com Summit and Linux Pavilion at PC EXPO is an opportunity for
business computing professionals to discover everything they need to know
about this exciting operating system.”

LinuxMall.com, the number one e-commerce site for Linux products and
information, will feature presentations from experts in the Linux community.
The LinuxMall.com Summit will address such topics as: the phenomenal growth
of Linux, the importance of Linux in today’s and tomorrow’s economy, the
significance of choosing a Linux strategy, the reason why e-commerce
providers are turning to Linux, and how the Linux investment can yield high
returns. For details about the LinuxMall.com Summit and for registration

opportunity to reflect the importance of Linux in today’s economy and to
bring the Linux message to a worldwide information technology audience.”

The Linux Pavilion at PC EXPO, sponsored by Linux Journal, will feature the
hottest Linux companies and service vendors. The Pavilion will provide
corporate and channel attendees with the opportunity to discuss and
participate in demonstrations of the most up-to-date tools and technologies
offered by the leading vendors today.

“The Linux Journal firmly believes that the Linux Pavilion will show PC EXPO
attendees specific ways that Linux can be utilized for their business
needs,” said Phil Hughes, publisher, Linux Journal. “The combined stability,
speed, security and overall performance of Linux and Linux-based products
will show PC EXPO visitors that the question is no longer if but when Linux
will be used.”
