This new tier (“Ultra”) will allow four devices to receive Ultra HD video and audio streaming at the same time.
Over the past few years, Netflix has slowly rolled out price increases for its streaming service. Ever since 2011, it has been more sensitive to a potential backlash.
The streaming service could launch a new higher price option, with “Ultra,” without the need of changing the price of its current plans. In Europe, this maximum price would be 16.99 to 19.99 euros, which is slightly above the Premium tier at 13.99 euros. In Italy, the “Ultra” tier is expected to be priced at 16.99 euros, which is approximately $19.81, as per the currency calculator.
At the moment, Netflix has three subscription plans, which include basic at $7.99, standard at $10.99, and the premium tier at $13.99. The basic plan affords users the ability to watch Netflix shows on one screen at a time, meanwhile the standard plan allows them to watch on two screens. Particularly impressive is the premium plan, which affords users the privilege to watch on four screens, which could be in the form of televisions, laptops, tablets or even phones.
If one is truly committed to making the most out of Netflix and their subscription option, or for hardcore fans and users of Netflix, then they might need to look into the “Ultra” tier, which will involve a spike in price.
