REDMOND, Wash. – Microsoft Corp. announced that the launch of the Microsoft Windows XP operating system scheduled for Oct. 25 will take place at the Marriott Marquis Theatre, in the heart of New York City’s Times Square theater district. Microsoft executives and key industry leaders will be coming to New York to launch the much-anticipated version of Windows.

Giuliani, mayor of New York. “We welcome Microsoft to our city. It is another example of the fact that New York City is open for business.”
