HTC One M9 vs. Samsung Galaxy S6: Which smooth phone do you want?

While there are still important details such as the price that have been left unannounced at present, there seems to be a lot of components that will have users singing its praises.

What’s New? Sophistication

The arrival of two Android flagship devices is an exciting time in the technological world. Both the M7 and M8 won rave reviews for its craftsmanship. However, deciphering between the HTC M9 and Samsung Galaxy S6 can be a challenge for some in the industry. When it comes to the industrial design of the gadget, you’ll find the M9 to be a charming phone that seems to fit well in the hands, albeit still a little too tall and heavy, according to PC World reviews.

That’s why the M9 has stayed within the same path of being just as sleek and refined. The curved back is also easier to grip because of its flatness and contoured shape. The HTC logo and black bar has disappeared. This paved the way for additional speaker room. Samsung devices were in need of a renovation as past phones had a more inexpensive and plastic feel to them. However, the Samsung Galaxy S6 metal body is lightweight and aesthetically pleasing. While the protruding camera may be somewhat annoying, users find it to be an ergonomically correct piece of equipment.

How They Stack Up

Both devices appear to be real powerhouses when it comes to performance. The Snapdragon 810 is used with the M9, while the Exynos 7420 is used with the Samsung Galaxy S6. Samsung’s application loading is extra speedy with the new phone compared to the problems that plagued the Galaxy S5. HTC already had a rapid interface in the M8, and it still appears to run smooth like butter. Touch response in both phones was a breeze, and users were able to switch and launch applications smoothly.

Camera Device

Unveiled at the Mobile World Congress Trade in Barcelona on Sunday, the Galaxy S6 Edge and S6 had shown consumers that the company had listened and learned from any past issues. That’s why they did away with the cheap plastic casing and replaced it with metal and glass on both the front and back of the device.

The camera on the Samsung S6 is mightily impressive with its instant photo pop up app, focus and shutter. Whether you’re a casual or serious shooter, users will be pleased with the camera’s capabilities. The M9 has a single-high resolution, making it a simple 20MP rear camera. The focus and shutter lag on the M99 was another drawback of the device.

Audio Department

The M9 delivers when it comes to sound. For a cellular device, the Dolby Audio technological speakers are loud and crystal clear. Users rate it as one of the best listening devices on the market today. Samsung has listened to its consumers in plans to reverse its falling smartphone revenue it suffered in 2014, reports Reuters. The manufacturer placed the speaker at the bottom of the device. Although, many still feel that the speakers should be paced on the front instead. While it’s definitely an improvement from the past models, the Samsung S6 seems to be lacking in this department.

Cellular Display

Mobot.net reports that the M9 offers a 1080p LCD screen. However, the picture is clear, bright and sharp. The 5.1 display on the Samsung S6 is breathtaking, bright and colorful. Similar to the Apple, the Samsung also offers a fingerprint sensor and wireless built-in charging capabilities. While the M9 has a high-res camera and faster processor, it doesn’t really bring anything new to the table other than being a pretty dynamic phone.

The HTC M9 and Samsung Galaxy S6 phones have consumers anxiously awaiting their arrival. While the above comparisons outlines some of their amazing features, price, battery life, displays and lighting features all need to be checked out further before one is declared an actual winner.

The duke fest between Apple and Samsung begins on April 10 when the redesigned Galaxy smartphones go on sale in 20 countries. According to Tech Radar, the M9 will be available mid-March.
