Google India launches new program for India-based ML/AI startups

In a Google India blog post, Paul Ravindranath, the regional lead for Launchpad Accelerator at Google India, wrote that the new Launchpad Accelerator India is starting as a three-month opportunity for Indian-based startups to “access the best of Google.”

The program builds off of Google’s existing global Launchpad Accelerator program and the Solve for India pilot, combining the two to create a launchpad with a specific socially-conscious focus.

Beyond being a technology-focused startup and being based in India, startups looking to take part in the program are expected to “have preferably at least raised seed funding,” and “address a challenge that is specific to India.”

Applications are currently open until July 31 at 12 p.m. IST. The first cohort will begin programming in September of this year, shortlisted startups of the “up to 10” that are picked will have the opportunity to attend a “two-week in-person bootcamp.” All startups, in addition to mentoring, will get between $20K and $100K in Google Cloud credits.
