Gloria Estefan’s latest Spanish-language album “Alma Caribena” released May 22
is topping the charts around the world. The album’s first single “No Me Dejes
de Querer” is at the no.1 radio airplay chart position on the Billboard Hot
Latin Charts, and the album debuted at no.1 on the Soundscan Latin Sales Chart
for the United States and Puerto Rico.
“Alma Caribena” is also achieving impressive results in many markets
throughout the world. “Alma Caribena” is Gloria’s first Spanish-language album
in five years. Her previous Spanish albums “Mi Tierra” and “Abriendo Puertas”
were both GRAMMY winning albums. “Alma Caribena” incorporates the rhythms and
cultures of the Caribbean nations that have left their imprint in today’s
Spanish speaking world, such as the New York salsa influenced by such countries
as Cuba, Puerto Rico, and Panama. Gloria is scheduled to make various
television appearances.
