First open smart speaker Volareo to launch, backed by blockchain

As a smart speaker, Volareo may be asked questions, given commands, or it can play your favorite tunes. With Volareo, privacy is a major factor, and cryptocurrency makes it easy to use. The official launch date is August 15, 2018. Emanate is one of the official partners.

Volareo was conceived out of the need for innovation in high-quality hardware. Several companies such as Choon, Musicoin, Soundeon, Raven Protocol, Lyric Find, Jazz De Ville, Cryptopulse, and others, are already on broad.

What makes Volareo unique is that it allows fans to access exclusive music content, musicians are able to get better insights into their fan-bases, fans and music listeners are able to directly tip the musician or the song that they like, and its users are able to have a “seamless music experience,” while using voice command with the speaker. Most importantly, this open source smart speaker ensures that the singer-songwriters are paid fairly, and in a timely fashion, for the music, thanks to “smart contracts” on the blockchain.

This was all made possible thanks to the blockchain technologies and the artificial intelligence that is built in the Volareo speaker.

Nick Yap, the founder of Volareo, remarked in a press release, that the blockchain makes sure that the listeners can communicate directly with their favorite musicians. He added that it is easy to use, and the speech recognition technology (in the speaker) makes it user-friendly. Yap noted that they want to be at the forefront of technological innovation, and thus, bring the experience of making, listening to, and interacting with music to new heights.
