Epson P-2000 Wins Two Digital Journal Product Awards

Digital Journal ─ So you have your digital camera and an itch to capture every significant get-together. But sometimes the LCD on your digicam doesn’t cut it. Also, if you’re into shooting tons of photos at parties, family outings or reunions, you probably fill up your memory cards too quickly.

If there is one gadget out there perfect for these types of digital photographers, it’s the Epson P-2000 multimedia storage device. This portable powerhouse is ideal for displaying digital pics from its 40GB drive. In addition, this photo viewer dubs as a movie and music player, it automatically creates photo slideshows, and by connecting the unit to a printer, you can print hard copies of photos in a snap.

The Epson P-2000 has multiple display modes allowing you to browse through thumbnails, through full-screen photographs or in an automatically generated slideshow.

Digital Journal has spent months combing the industry for the best multimedia device with photo preview capabilities and the Epson P-2000 wins bar none. The P-2000’s LCD is a testament to Epson’s strength in liquid crystal technology; the 3.8-inch screen is packed with 212 pixels to the inch, providing a lifelike recreation of photos or films. The screen alone blows away the competition by keeping colours vibrant and gorgeous, and never allowing shadows or low light to mar the viewing experience.

Photo enthusiasts will especially appreciate the function of transferring images directly to the unit via its built-in card slots. It supports CompactFlash, SD and a CF slot is compatible with Microdrives. Like with many photo vaults, the P-2000 can be hooked up to a TV to further elicit the ooohs and ahhs from friends. Unlike some of the competing units available on the market today, the P-2000 is totally versatile and not limited by poor planning in the R&D stages of the product’s development. Epson definitely put its full efforts into this baby.

The Epson P-2000 uses high-speed USB 2.0 for fast downloading of photos directly to your PC.

For anyone with a penchant for snapping pics, the P-2000 is perfect for displaying those pics as they should be shown: bright, colourful, clear and lush. At three hours worth of battery life, it lasts as long as a mid-afternoon showing of Junior’s birthday party…or a portable viewing of Forrest Gump. No matter the visual media, the P-2000 ensures crystal-clear images that free the digicam user from the average LCD display.

For its large viewing screen, its crystal-clear image quality and its ease of use, the Epson P-2000 wins Digital Journal’s Best Product Award in the Portable Media Device category and Digital Journal’s Best Product Award in the Photo Viewer category.
