TechJutsu, a cybersecurity company focused on practical identity and access solutions, has developed Caller Verify, a tool designed to replace traditional caller verification methods in call centres and IT help desks.

Many organizations still rely on security questions to confirm a caller’s identity, a method that has proven vulnerable to impersonation fraud — especially in cases where attackers exploit personal knowledge, such as family relationships. Caller Verify offers a faster and more secure alternative, using real-time multi-factor authentication to confirm caller identity in under 10 seconds.

The solution integrates with commonly used systems like ServiceNow, ZenDesk, and Okta, and can be deployed in less than a day. For agents, it replaces lengthy question-and-answer sessions with a seamless verification experience. For organizations, it reduces fraud risk and call handling times.

The project was initially developed in response to an urgent need at a major Alberta-based credit union, where fraudsters were bypassing security checks by impersonating family members. TechJutsu designed and deployed Caller Verify using an agile approach, focusing on ease of use, security compliance, and enterprise readiness.

One of the key insights from the project was that many organizations underestimate the risk of relying on legacy security methods. By switching to Caller Verify, the client not only improved security but also saw operational benefits, including shorter calls and higher client satisfaction.

Internally, the project reinforced TechJutsu’s culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. It also pushed the company to expand its cybersecurity advocacy efforts, contributing to broader conversations around fraud prevention and secure identity verification.

Today, Caller Verify is used by organizations across multiple industries. The company reports that it has helped reduce call verification times by more than 70 percent while preventing fraudulent access attempts. As call centers and IT help desks continue to face growing security challenges, tools like Caller Verify offer a way to modernize outdated practices without disrupting daily operations.
