Audi displays EV innovation, serious horsepower at CIAS 2019 (Commissioned Content)

The 2019 Canadian International Auto Show hosted cars and technology from the cutting edge of the automotive world. Crowds got a chance to see the next wave of exciting developments from Audi, as well as some of the automaker’s hottest cars.

The exotic and the extravagant were on display for all to enjoy at CIAS 2019. Luxury cars continue to attract a great deal of attention at CIAS, and Audi Canada put its own exotic models on display.

Audi contributed its own luxury model at the show with the R8 Spyder. The Audi R8 holds a naturally aspirated v10 engine that can pump out 602 horsepower. All that power drives the new Spyder from 0 to 100km/hour in as little as 3.4 seconds. That’s a lot of car.

EV dreams and drives
Looking to the future of Audi, electric vehicles are playing a major role. According to Audi Canada’s president Giorgio Delucchi, the e-tron quattro, Audi’s first fully-electric SUV model, represents, “a new chapter in the history of Audi, and the start of a new era.”

The e-tron quattro, was on display. The EV features up to 150kw charging capabilities, an optional second charging port and a virtual cockpit.

Beyond the impressive e-tron quattro EV and the stellar R8 Spyder, Audi’s presence at Canada’s largest auto show demonstrated the automaker’s range of new vehicles and features.

The new Q3 was on display, featuring a huge overhaul of features for 2019. The Q3 features quattro all-wheel drive, an array of driver assist systems, a virtual cockpit and a sliding and reclining rear bench to increase luggage space up to a whopping 675L.

Innovative features to capture the attention of car lovers are at the core of Audi’s 2019 offerings, and the company is optimistic about its future plans. “We have the best portfolio we’ve ever had before, and with these latest editions, the future will be bright,” said Audi Canada President Giorgio Delucchi.
