Digital Journal — If you tweak it, they will come. Apple has listened to its devout followers who prayed to the tech gods for a mouse that could best complement their Mac (anything will be better than Apple’s one-button mouse idea). Apple has unveiled the next version of its Mighty Mouse, making the product wireless and loading it with Bluetooth capabilities.
“The wireless Mighty Mouse is the perfect travel companion for the MacBook user on the go,” said David Moody, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Mac Product Marketing.
The latest Mighty Mouse improves on its predecessor by ridding the cord and allowing Bluetooth users to let various devices “talk” to each other. In addition, the Mighty Mouse features a sensitive scroll ball, and the ability to use either a two-button or multi-button format. It will switch to a low-power mode during moments of inactivity to save battery power.
The Mighty Mouse retails for $79 so it’s not for the budget-conscious Mac lover. Apple is stressing ease of use with their new mouse but will the public be convinced this mild makeover is worth the coin?
