Three people are dead and as many as 16 wounded after members of rival motorcycle gangs opened fire on each other at a casino in a gambling town in the western U.S. state of Nevada.
The shooting occurred early Saturday at Harrah’s Casino in the gambling resort of Laughlin, more than 120 kilometers south of Las Vegas. Authorities say fighting broke out after a member of the Mongols motorcycle gang walked into a group from the Hells Angels gang.
Police say they have made one arrest and have detained at least 200 people for questioning. They also cautioned Lauglin residents that there could be further violence.
The clash erupted during the 20th annual River Run – a weekend gathering of motorcycle clubs that authorities say brought more than 50,000 people to Laughlin.
Authorities say it was the worst shooting ever inside a Nevada casino. (voa)
