Fifteen minutes into the match, Suarez took a loose ball and blasted a perfectly placed goal into the net from 40 feet away. The ball had to be positioned exactly in order for it to soar over the goalkeeper’s outstretched arms.
The game’s broadcast commentator exclaims during the goal’s replay: “The thinking is so quick…the technique has to be perfect…it IS perfect. It is stunning!”
The video of the impressive goal is making the rounds online, with more than 30 videos of the strike already appearing on YouTube within an hour.
This season, Suarez has 12 goals as Liverpool’s top striker. The 26-year-old Uruguayan star made headlines on Digital Journal previously when he scored three gorgeous goals against West Brom in October.
