Watch Derrick Rose’s game-winning shot, Bulls 82 Knicks 81

On Thursday night, Chicago looked like they were on a brink of a fourth-quarter meltdown as New York mounted a comeback after being down as much as 13 points. While the Bulls were in control for most of the game, they needed emergency scoring with 10 seconds left, down by one.

Enter Rose, the lightning-quick point guard at the heart of the Bulls squad. Taking a pass that led him to the wing, Rose drove hard into two Knicks defenders. Tyson Chandler and Raymond Felton stretched out to get into Rose’s face, but the Bulls guard was too good. He elevated to float the ball over their hands and sink the bucket with five seconds left. Bulls lead 82-81.

Knicks go-to man Carmelo Anthony had a chance to win it for New York, but his long jumper came up short.

The game-winner by Rose came after a tough shooting game for the player. Rose had 18 points on 7-of-23 shooting and committed four turnovers. Anthony led the Knicks with 22 points.

The Bulls win comes two days after their season opener loss to the Miami Heat.
