Watch Broncos RB Knowshon Moreno cry HUGE tears during national anthem

As the U.S. national anthem blared in Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium, there was one NFL player who couldn’t hold back his emotions.

The Broncos’ Moreno was caught on camera crying heavily during the anthem.

We later found out through Denver Post sports reporter Joan Niesen about the reason behind the face faucet (truly, those were massive streams of tears). She tweeted Sunday night:

Moreno was likely crying tears of joy for being in a game he was not guaranteed to play.
Fresh off a 224-yard game against the Patriots, Moreno suffered an ankle injury on his final play of last week’s win. His status for the Chiefs game was upgraded to probable earlier this week.

Against the Chiefs, Moreno only rushed for 18 yards on Sunday, but his team overtook the Chiefs 38-25. Peyton Manning threw for 403 yards and five touchdowns.

The GIF and YouTube clip of Moreno’s sudden cry session has rocketed across the Web, from reddit to Deadspin.

We don’t often come across football players letting out their emotions through their tear ducts. In recent memory, the only other similar footage came from the 2009 SEC Championship, when Florida’s Tim Tebow’s couldn’t hold back the sadness when his Gators lost to Alabama in his senior year.
