In an Olympics promotional event, Adidas invited UK residents to show their support for Team Great Britain. In a dedicated photo booth, people could mug for the camera and get prints of the photos.
But Adidas had a special surprise up its jersey sleeve. The company invited soccer legend David Beckham to peek into the booth and surprise unsuspecting fans. They filmed the incidents and uploaded an edited version on YouTube.
The video shows many fans dropping their jaws in amazement as Beckham, 37, peeks his head around the corner. Some children start crying, some fans opt to kiss Beckham’s cheek when the camera snaps. They all look excited to be posing with one of the world’s most popular celebrity athletes.

“It was a unique experience for me and the people who took part,” Beckham, who posed for pictures with about 60 Olympic visitors, told reporters, as the L.A. Times writes. “There were some great reactions when we surprised them.”
Beckham is a midfielder for the L.A. Galaxy and was excluded from the British national squad for the London Summer Games. But he recently said he has “some kind of role in the opening ceremony, which I am honored to be involved in because obviously I was involved in the start of this process seven years ago.”
