Review: Sandi Morris’ incredible pole vault journey in 2018 (Includes first-hand account)

In March of 2018, at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Morris ended her silver streak and won the gold medal. She jumped 4.95 meters, where she set a championship record.

The film, Be More, released on Untitled Works deals with Morris’ journey in the sport.

On June 24, Morris also claimed the gold medal at the outdoor USA Track and Field championship.

Morris also won three IAAF Diamond League meetings this summer in the women’s pole vault, in Doha, Oslo and Birmingham. She was also the world leader in the outdoor track and field this summer with 4.95 meters.

Although she may have finished in second place at the final IAAF Diamond League in Lausanne, the event ended with an engagement, where her boyfriend, fellow athlete Tyrone Smith, popped the question to Morris, so she left the field with a diamond ring.

Hopefully, there will be many more gold medals for Sandi Morris and Team USA in 2019.
