Six-time Olympic medalist swimmer Kyle Chalmers had an incredible weekend performance-wise at the International Swimming League (ISL) Season 3 Match 8, which was held in Naples, Italy.
A 23-year-old Aussie swimmer, Chalmers serves as the co-captain of the London Roar swimming team, with Rob Woodhouse as his team’s General Manager.
Day 1 of ISL Season 3 Match 8
On September 18, Chalmers won the men’s 50 meter freestyle race with a time of 20.80 seconds, earning nine points for the team. He also helped the men’s 4 x 100 meter freestyle relay team win first place and score 30 club points for London Roar with a time of 3:05.84.
London Roar also came in second place (where Chalmers swam the freestyle leg) in the men’s 4 x 100 meter medley relay, earning 14 points for their team, and clocking 3:22.25 right behind Energy Standard, who finished in first place with 3:22.19.
Day 2 of ISL Season 3 Match 8
On September 19, Chalmers was victorious in the men’s 100 meter freestyle race with a time of 45.65 seconds, and he earned 10 points for London Roar.
In the mixed 4 x 100 meter medley relay, London Roar finished in second place with a time of 3:34.53, earning 14 points. Chalmers once again swum the freestyle leg of the mixed medley relay.
Final Club Standings in Match 8
London Roar finished in second place, accumulating 486.5 points, right behind Energy Standard, which ranked in first place with 507 points.
The Los Angeles Current and the Tokyo Frog Kings finished in third and fourth place with 395.5 points and 379 points respectively.
In the Match 8 MVP individual standings, Chalmers ranked in 14th place.
