Pacquiao-Bradley boxing match to start after Heat-Celtics Game 7

If you’re a fan of boxing and basketball, you won’t have to choose what to watch on a very busy Saturday night. Instead, you can watch both, back-to-back.

Bob Arum, CEO of TopRank, promised the Pacquiao-Bradley fight won’t begin until the end of Game 7 between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics. He said, “… “the main event won’t start until after the game ended,” according to SBNation.

But was Arum’s assurance needed? SBNation notes “with the NBA game tipping off at 8:30 p.m. ET, there isn’t really much danger of the game running into the main event unless it goes to double overtime.”

Boxing fans know the openers may dictate the beginning of the feature fight. Main events “usually start somewhere between 11:00 and 11:30pm ET on Saturdays, but that can fluctuate depending on how quickly or slowly the undercard moves,” according to Larry Brown Sports.

The Heat demolished the Celtics Thursday night to force a deciding Game 7 to determine the winner of the NBA Eastern Conference. The winner faces the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday in the NBA Finals.

Pacquiao, the boxing superstar representing the Philippines, is favored to win over Bradley, born in California, as they clash for the WBO welterweight crown in Las Vegas, Digital Journal reported.
