NFL Trade Rumors: Jimmy Graham to Denver Broncos?

Reports from the Pacific Northwest have already surfaced on the 28-year-old being unhappy with his role with the Seahawks. His lack of targets, especially in the red zone, has led to some concern and quarterback Russell Wilson is now issuing press releases on the subject.

Head coach Pete Carroll has dealt with these issues before and dealt with them by trading Percy Harvin when the wide receiver became a distraction to his football team. Many experts believe the same could happen if things don’t change on and off the field with Graham.

The Latin Post has reported the issues and suggested a trade to Denver would be a good move. The Broncos have struggled this season after losing Julius Thomas to Jacksonville and despite having a 5-0 record on the year, the team has won two of its games without scoring an offensive touchdown.

Peyton Manning has struggled without a go-to guy in the red zone and a trade would give the veteran quarterback another big play pass catcher, but it would also alleviate the issues in Seattle, making this a win-win situation for both parties.

The former NFL third round draft pick is on pace to catch 67 passes for 650 yards and six touchdowns and while that’s decent production, it would be the worst totals since his rookie season with the New Orleans Saints.

Graham came to Seattle looking for a change and a chance to win a Super Bowl, but as with most elite athletes, his selfishness has taken over and it now appears numbers are more important and that alone could cause issues in the locker room and send the veteran tight end packing in the coming weeks.
