NFL star Chad Ochocinco invites Twitter fan to his wedding

It started with a tweet many athletes must get on a regular basis. “I’m feeling pretty low today. Lost my hubby 2 weeks ago. Together 30 years. Very hard. Please pray for me. Thanks…”

Was Cheryl Minton, who directed that tweet earlier today to the Dolphins player, expecting a reply from Ochocinco? She might’ve been surprised to then see the wide receiver quickly reply back “You have a passport?” When she said yes, he then asked, “Can you come to the wedding?” He was referring to his upcoming wedding on July 4, at a location to be determined in Miami. Evelyn Lozada is marrying the receiver, who promised to live-tweet the nuptials.

Ochocinco then wrote to Minton, who hails from Ohio: “Check ya DM… Just start packing..”

Minton replied with a hearty, “Ok. I’m flabbergasted! I love you!”

The former Bengals and Patriots receiver has been known for helping his fans. He made a nine-year-old dream’s come true, and in January 2012 he gave away a playoffs ticket to a Twitter fan.
